New Project:A Somers Day; trying to revive this town-wide celebration. If interested please attend a meeting or contact a member.

Current Project: The newest project of the Somers Community Partnership is to communicate to the Somers residents the process of developing the "Plan of Conservation and Development"(10 year plan). Each meeting is videotaped and shown on Cox Cable public access, channel 16 throughout the month. The TV schedule for this month is every Monday and Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. on channel 16. Community Partnership Vision and Mission

The Vision of the Somers Community Partnership Council is to build a community that is sensitive to the needs of all citizens by promoting community spirit and cooperation with the common purpose of improving the quality of life for all of Somers.

The Somers Community Partnership Council will facilitate the townwide exchange of ideas and information, assess community needs, advocate solutions and initiate actions for the greater good of the community.

Projects have included the Community Information Guide and the SomersNow.com website.
