Acquiring open space through grants and partnerships

The state’s financial challenges will keep state funding down for years

Reorganizing town staff to strengthen lines of communication and coordination

Strengthening our fire fighters

Somers residents and taxpayers face their own challenges in reduced employment and financial security

Analyzing and reorganizing work and staff to maximize efficiency

Increasing our police force

Town equipment, facilities, and programs require increased funding to maintain quality

Facilitating sustained engagement in identifying and pursuing long-term goals

Increasing and improving housing for low income seniors

Local taxpayers cannot be expected to make up for reduced state support and rising capital and operating cost

Working with town schools to share resources and merge functions
