Purchase a copy of our first book with photos."Thru the Camera's Eye" which was co-authored by Jeanne & Judy in 1978. This book has long been out of print, and was often requested. The collection of old photographs and stories about the town of Somers, gives a peek into the history of our town which was founded in 1734.
Explore our expanding collection of dolls and doll furniture donated by Somersville and Hazardville residents.

Visit the Somersville Mill display, including a scrapbook of The Somersville Christmas Pageant newspaper clippings.
The Somers Historical Society, Inc has available a variety of books containing Somers History, Somers DVD's, note cards, post cards, Vern Drayton lithographs of Somers Main Street, two small wooden houses, and other items in our Museum Store. On display are dolls from the 1940's, two Purple Hearts belonging to Somers soldiers, clothing made from Somersville Mill fabric, and information about the history of the Somersville Manufacturing Co. Public is welcome.

- Scrapbooks from the Somers Players, a 1950's theater group in Somers. Mr. and Mrs. Herb Wells produced plays in Piedmont Hall with professional and amateur actors.

What's Happening |
Somers early sports photos, Somers Congregational Church history and a photo of Rev. Strong a former church minister are on display.
Be sure to look for the wooden spoons from Somers Creamery as you walk around the museum built in 1896. Included in the Somersville Mfg. Company display, are coats and a wool shirt made of fabric from this mill. Parts of the story of the Somers Mfg. Company are told in the invoices from WWI.
The museum store will be open for you to purchase history books and DVD's of Somers history as recalled by local residents.
Celebrate the Somers Historical Society, Inc. 50th Anniversary and join us on a day trip to see the “Tall Ships” in Boston. Information available at the Somers Historical Museum or greenlady86@sbcglobal.net/
