Relay For Life: Get Involved In This Year's Event

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life Somers is in the planning stages for the Spring of 2006. There will be an informational / pre organization meeting on January 18th at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall in Somers. We are looking to you, those who were team captains to attend this meeting to discuss things that worked and things that did not, and to work together to continue this event that brings our community together for a good cause.

Relay For Life is not only an event that raises money for the American Cancer Society, it is a wonderful celebration of the life of those who are surviving Cancer and to honor and celebrate the lives of those we have lost to this disease. All of you who support Relay For Life by being Team Captains all have shown that you are committed to the cause of continuing the fight against cancer, and what better way to do it........ raise a little money and have a celebration at the same time.

I hope you will plan on joining us for this meeting and please feel free to bring anyone who you think may be interested in helping as either being part of the Organization Team, Team Captain, or maybe just to find out more about Relay For Life. Remember many hands make for light work.

We are looking for a Dynamic Organizational "Team", Enthusiastic "Team" Captains, hard working "Team" members, and a whole lot of "Team" fun.
