Receipts can be dropped off by students at the donation boxes located in the Somers Public Schools main offices or look for the Somers Education Foundation’s “Save Your Receipt” boxes located at the Somers Public Library, Town Hall, Senior Center, Rockville Bank or Bank of America. Receipts and donations can also be mailed to SEF, P.O. Box 624, Somers, CT 06071.

The Somers Education Foundation was formed in 2004 and is comprised of a volunteer board of business people, school parents, senior citizens, and other community leaders. Its mission is to preserve the community’s commitment to educational excellence in the Somers Public Schools by providing funding for innovative projects and programs that enhance student learning. The foundation is registered with the State of Connecticut and with the Internal Revenue Service 501-c(3) nonprofit, making donations tax deductible.

To date, the Somers Education Foundation has awarded over $50,000 to the Somers Public Schools for innovative programs involving technology, literacy, diversity, physical education, science, and mathematics.
