The board of assessor is responsible for:
1. reviewing and signing the annual grand list. The grand list identifies the
residents and nonresidents who own real estate, personal property and motor
vehicles.
2. making certain the proper values have been assessed.
3. determining what open space values are.
4. placing minimum accepted assessments on all properties.
5. reviews and approves all bills according to budget as presented to and
approved by the board of finance.
This board is comprised of three members who are elected at each biennial
election for a four year term. The newly elected officials are seated two weeks
following the general municipal election.
