The housing authority is responsible for:
1. managing and supervising the budget for the housing authority per
recommendations from the director.
2. managing and supervising structural improvements and renovations.
3. managing and supervising internal improvements and decorations.
4. interviewing, hiring and overseeing the functions of the director.
The authority is comprised of five members each serving five year terms. The
appointments are made by the board of selectmen upon term expirations with
recommendations received from the housing authority.
The authority’s powers and duties are prescribed by the General Statutes.
