ORGANIZATIONAL
MEETING MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 3, 2002
CALL TO ORDER: First Selectman Richard Jackson called this meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
MEMBERS IN ATTENDANCE: S. D’Amour, W. Nieliwocki, T. O’Grady, B. Pellissier, G.
Sulikowski, R. Trevena and Trooper S. Mazza for Sgt. Claudio.
AUDIENCE: Paul Raynes, 25 Avery Road.
MISSION: Discussion was held on committee’s mission and questions from Pellissier if a
recommendation on use of old firehouse as police station was within the scope of this committee. First Selectman Jackson said it would be. TFC Mazza provided group with some past statistics on crime in Somers. The committee thanked him but requested up to date statistics for the next meeting.
ELECT TEMPORARY:
1. Chairperson: Motion by Pellissier second by Grady to elect Walter J. Nieliwocki as Chairman. All in favor.
2. Secretary: Motion by D’Amour second by Trevena to elect Fedorowich as temporary secretary. All in favor.
SET QUARTERLY MEETING DATES: No action was taken at this meeting.
The committee agreed that a second meeting was needed and scheduled it for October 28, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. in town hall selectmen’s conference room.
ADJOURNMENT: The meeting adjourned at 7:40 p.m. by unanimous consent.
