FIRE COMMISSIONERS

REGULAR MEETING

THURSDAY September 19, 2002

 

CALL TO ORDER:                    The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Bob McCulloch

Members Present:                     Bob McCulloch, David Palmer, Carl Rohrbach, and Tony Bruno

Others Present:                        Walter Summers

MINUTES APPROVAL:              On a motion by Mr. Bruno, seconded by Mr. Rohrbach the

Minutes of the Special Meeting of August 22, 2002 were unanimously approved.

AUDIENCE COMMENTS:          None

        

FIRE MARSHAL:    Mr. Summers stated that the Fire Marshal’s office will need additional hours in the up coming budget years because of the increased workload due to the review and inspection of the new school projects.

         Mr. Summers reported that he was appointed to the Town’s Safety Committee and he will be responsible to develop evacuation plans for all Town buildings, which will also increase his workload.

        

         On a motion by Mr. Palmer, seconded by Mr. Bruno, the Vehicle Fire Investigation training for Glen Reynolds was unanimously approved.

         On a motion by Mr. Bruno, seconded by Mr. Rohrbach, the bills of the Fire Marshal dated: 6/16/2002 – 9/7/2002 were unanimously approved for payment.

        

FIRE CHIEF  No Report

 

NEW BUSINESS:    On a motion by Mr. Bruno, seconded by Mr. Palmer, Chief William Meier was unanimously approved to be the Fire Commissions representative to the CIP committee.        

ADJOURNMENT:   A motion to adjourn was made at 7:46 pm by Mr. Bruno, seconded by Mr. Palmer and approved unanimously.

`        The next meeting will be Thursday October 17, 2002 at 7:00 pm at the Fire House.
