REGULAR MEETING

JANUARY 7, 2003

 

Meeting called to order by Co-Chairman Robert Loubier at 7:35 PM.

 

Present:  John Moak and Robert Loubier   Also Present Janice Steinmetz, Assessor

 

Minutes:  The Board unanimously voted to accept the minutes of December 3, 2002.

 

Bills to be Paid: Quality Data $750.00, American Business $53.52 and Hartford Area Assessors Association annual dues for Janice and the members of the Board $40.00.

The Board unanimously voted to pay the bills.

 

Correspondence:   None

 

Old Business:   Further discussion on non-register motor vehicles and that there are many in town with Massachusetts, Vermont and Florida plates on their vehicles.

The unanimously approved the Open Space applications to take effect on the 2002 Grand List.

2003-2004 Budget:  The budget was discussed by the board and will have the final figures to present to the Board of Finance at the regular meeting on February 4th.

 

Revaluation: Janice reported that reval company is behind in the process of getting values to her to check and getting notices mailed out.   Notices will be going out around the first of February. Hearings in February.  The Assessor also reported that she had filed for extension with the First Selectman and the State.
