SPECIAL CONSERVATION MEETING MINUTES

4/16/03; 7:30 p.m.

Town Hall

I.       CALL TO ORDER:

Chairman Joan Formeister called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.  Members present were:  Joan Formeister; Maurice Rondeau; Dan Fraro; Lise Wood.

II.      NEW BUSINESS:

         a.       Wetland Application #471 - Single Family Residence, Driveway and Septic System with Updated Review Area - John M. and Jennifer A. Rose

John and Jennifer Rose were present and stated that their building plan is exactly the same as the one previously approved.  That permit expired in 2000.  They would like to renew the permit for a house, driveway, and septic within the upland review area.  John and Jennifer Rose both agreed to permanently delineate the wetlands with posts and markers, every 50 to 100 feet.

The Commission accepted Wetland Application #471 for decision at the next Conservation meeting on May 7, 2003.

         b.       Wetland Application #472 - Emergency Streambank Stabilization with Rip-Rap, 17 Partridge Run  - Roulier & Associates

This application is for emergency rip-rap along approximately 150 feet of one side of a streambank.  Basically, the streambank collapsed and had to be repaired as soon as possible.  This area needed immediate repair because of its proximity to the driveway of a new house that is almost ready for occupancy.

Issuance of an after-the-fact permit is warranted in this case.  The site has been stabilized and David Askew will do an inspection tomorrow.

III.     ADJOURNMENT:

Motion to adjourn was made by Dan Fraro; seconded by Lise Wood and unanimously approved by the Commission.  The meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.

                                    Respectfully submitted,

                                    Lise Wood, Secretary

                                    Connie Carenzo, Recording Secretary
