SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

Thursday September 11, 2003

CALL TO ORDER: Carl Rohrbach called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m.

Members Present: David Palmer, Alice Van Tasel and Carl Rohrbach

Members Absent: Tony Bruno and Frank Lawlor

Others Present: none

EXECUTIVE SESSION:

The Commission members present reviewed and discussed the four (4) applications and résumés received to date for the position of paid Fire Captain in the Somers Fire Department.

VOTE ON APPLICATION PERIOD:

A motion by Mrs. Van Tasel, seconded by Mr. Palmer to close the application period for the paid Fire Captain position effective the end September 11, 2003 was approved unanimously.

ADJOURNMENT:

A motion to adjourn was made at 8:50 p.m. by Mrs. Van Tasel, seconded by Mr. Palmer and approved unanimously. The next regular meeting will be Thursday, September 18, 2003 at 7 pm at the Somers Fire House.
