BOARD OF ASSESSORS

REGULAR MEETING

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 3TH, 2003

 

Co chairman Bob Loubier called the meeting to order at 7:32 P.M.

 

Members Present: Bob Loubier, Dave Olsen, Ken Prior, Blain Buck, John Valente Lesher Glendinning Municipal Services, Inc.

 

Minutes: October 7th minutes approved as amended, August 28th as approved amended, September 4th minutes approved, September 9th approved

 

Audience Participation: Blaine Buck did apply for Open Space wanted to know if a penalty applies. Request of research on sale of 359 Mountain Road with possible penalty – LGMS will investigate other splits and subdivisions for other possible violations. 

 

Bills: All bills were unanimously approved, signed and processed , Derenzy,  Lesher Glendinning,

 

Old Business: None.

 

New Business:  Report from Lesher Glendinning

                                                               i.      Processing of personal property, added accounts from review of department of revenue services

                                                             ii.      Free web site of ProphecyOne.us is up and running

                                                            iii.      Publicity regarding reval will begin in late November

                                                           iv.      Preliminary Sales Analysis

                                                             v.      Audit of Personal Property by LGMS (Gail Gantick) will submit to Board in December.

 

Review of Certified Letter from Blaine Buck – Assessor’s office will correct factual data and investigate payments for the December, 2003  will send letter certified response to Tax Collector and First Selectman.

Dave Olsen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:50 P.M., seconded by Bob Loubier
