The meeting was called to order at 7:35pm by Chairman Roland.

Interview—Emery Zahner. The Committee reviewed qualifications and asked questions.

Interview—Robin Hewey. The Committee reviewed qualifications and asked questions.

After discussion, a motion was made (Cowles), seconded (Klein), and unanimously approved to hire Emery Zahner as Clerk of the Works for SHS project.

SHS---review of minutes from 3/23/04 meeting with Town Officials.

Map of staging area explained.

Review of Change Order #1 document (Value Engineering Items). A motion was made (Cowles), seconded (Broer), and unanimously approved to approve Change Order #1 for $210,199 deduct written by MPN pending approval of contract by Town Attorney.

SES---out to bid. Mandatory walk-through 3/30/04, 3:30pm. T.Cowles will attend.

MBA---final design drawings of mechanicals. Mech. Eng. will attend next meeting for review.

Meeting with SFU is scheduled in September. Could be ready by 1/05 to sign contract. Need to send letter to SFU asking for extension, since 2 year period after bonding approval is up 6/04.

Minutes of the 2/26/04 and 3/11/04 meetings were approved unanimously as presented (Cowles, Broer).

Letter from Macchi Engineering regarding engineering services for Special Inspection Work. Estimate is part of “Inspections” in budget. A motion was made (Klein), seconded (Butler), and unanimously approved to approve $7000 for Macchi Eng. for Special Inspections.

G.Lloyd stated he’d like to have clearing begin at SHS the week of 4/12/04.
