MEETING MINUTES
October 26, 2004 – 7:00 pm
Selectmen’s Conference Room
1. Call to Order
Charles Colby called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm.
2. Members Present
Michael Duffy,
Michelle Lippe, Tim McManus, James Gamble, Charles Colby, and Jason Doyon. Also present were Ernie Allsup and Edward
Sullivan, Treasurer.
3. Chairman and Secretary Selection
A motion was made by
Jason Doyon and seconded by Tim McManus to elect Charles Colby as committee
chairman. Jason Doyon volunteered to
serve as committee secretary and the motion was seconded by Charles Colby. All in favor.
4. Approval of Minutes
James Gamble noted a correction to the minutes of 10/7/04
– Item #6 should have read “The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October
26, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the
Selectmen’s Conference Room.” Charles
Colby made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected; motion was seconded by
Tim McManus. All in favor.
5. Review of Current Hardware/Software Provisions
Charles Colby discussed contract terms for Internet usage
with Cox and NetZero as well as maintenance agreements with Quality Data
Services. For the next meeting, Charles
Colby will bring copies of relevant contract agreements for committee review
and Tim McManus will determine availability/pricing for DSL service.
6. Review Personnel Needs
Tim McManus suggested
surveying end users via a questionnaire to determine the level of training
needed. Ernie Allsup suggested
Microsoft Word and general Internet usage are currently the most critical
areas. Both issues will be discussed
further at the next meeting.
7. Open Items for Future Discussion

Disaster
Recovery Plan
·
IT
Policies and Procedures for employees (including specific security concerns)
·
Internet
security – patches, fixes, bugs, etc.
·
Establish
training needs
8. Next Meeting
The next meeting is
scheduled for Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at 7:00 pm in the Selectmen’s Conference Room.
9. Adjournment
The meeting adjourned by mutual consent at 8:52 pm.
