Discussion: Plan of
Conservation and Development
Chairman
Klein reported on the joint meeting with the Planning Commission last Wednesday,
mainly discussing soil-based zoning.
The Planner will be putting together maps of previously approved
subdivisions showing how the quality of lots would be adjusted under soil-based
zoning. There will be another joint
meeting on Wednesday, April 13.
There will be more discussion on soil-based zoning as well as village
districts.
Peter
Chipouras expressed some concern about making sure the Commission meets its
deadlines set forth in the POCD. It
was discussed that Commissioners should try and keep a list of the
characteristics they feel would be important in Somersville. It would be helpful to have a Design
Review Board in place at the time the Commission adopts any changes in zoning
regarding Village Districts.
