ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
April 12, 2005
Call To Order: Chairman Torres called the meeting to order at 7:36 P.M.
Members Present: John Torres, James Meagher, Edward Mack, James Beaulieu, Daniel Scully and Barbara Flebotte. Absent: Robert Minch and Martha Rainey.
Chairman Torres called the public hearing to order at 7:38 P.M. Acting Secretary, James Beaulieu, read the legal notice. Chairman Torres read into record a letter from J.R. Russo & Assoc., acting on behalf of the applicant, a request to withdraw the application.
The Acting Secretary read the legal notice. Mr. Asplund of 44 East Main Street, Stafford Springs, who is representing the applicant for property located at 99 Four Bridges Road, approached the Board. No abutters were present. After much discussion, the Board would like to obtain more information before making a decision. Motion to continue the public hearing for Fotis I. Gazis made by Commissioner Mack; second by Commissioner Beaulieu. Motion approved unanimously.
The Acting Secretary read the legal notice. Mr. Brown, of 13 Sunset Drive, approached the Board. No abutters were present. After presenting his application and discussion with the Board, motion to close the public hearing for Eric R. Brown made by Commissioner Beaulieu; second by Commissioner Meagher. The public hearing ended at 8:10 P.M.
The regular business meeting continued at 8:11 P.M.
Motion made by Commissioner Beaulieu to approve the ZBA December 14, 2004 minutes as presented; second by Commissioner Meagher. Motion approved unanimously.
Motion made by Commissioner Meagher to approve the March 22, 2005 ZBA minutes with noted corrections: page 2 under 1. William Toomey – applying for used car dealer’s license, change “card” to “car” and add after unanimously, “The Board approved transfer of ownership to William Toomey.”; second by Commissioner Mack. Motion approved unanimously.

Motion made by Commissioner Beaulieu to cease discussion and vote to approve variance request for a shed located at 13 Sunset Drive, Somers; second by Commissioner Scully. Motion approved unanimously. Configuration of the lot and location of the septic system were the recognized hardship.
Old Business: Chairman Torres distributed the 2005/2006 Budget with revisions made by the Treasurer’s Office.
New Business: None.
Correspondence: None.
Bills: Motion made by Commissioner Mack to approve all bills including $487.94 to the Journal Inquirer and $85.25 for recording tapes; second by Commissioner Beaulieu. Motion approved unanimously.
Adjournment: Motion made by Commissioner Beaulieu to adjourn; second by Commissioner Meagher. Motion approved unanimously. The meeting ended at 8:45 P.M.
