Place: Somers Town Hall

Members present: Mike Provencher, Diane Childs, Mark Christian, Barbara Capuano, Patti Ellis, Terri Nejfelt, Debbie Whitford. Dave Pinney arrived at 6:52p.m. and departed at 7:04p.m.

1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order by Mike Provencher at 6:40p.m.

2. Approve minutes of last meeting.

Minutes from the 5-09 meeting were amended as follows: 3c. change “this years permit” to “last years permit”

Diane Childs made motion to accept minutes as amended with a second made by Mark Christian, all in favor.

3. Discussion: Old Business

a. Status of Boundless Playground Communications -

Awaiting response from Boundless regarding email sent by Diane Childs requesting height change for gamma peg.

b. Treasurer report of balances: fund: bricks, mailing brochure response.

Reviewed current funds in account.

Reviewed donations from recent mailing.

c. Status of Grant writing

Mike Provencher given name of new contact with State of Connecticut; to follow-up.

d. Status from our Fund Raising committee.

Discussed plans for Family Fun Day.

e. Other

Diane Childs presented binder to be presented to the Rec. Commission at their next meeting on 6-6.

4. Discussion: New Business

a. Discussion/Vote on: Upcoming events/ideas.

Barbara Capuano made suggestion to contact Boundless and invite to a meeting to discuss our needs.

b. Fundraising Committee: Discussion/Vote on upcoming events/ideas

No report.

c. Other

Meeting adjourned at 8:30p.m. with motion made by Mike Provencher, seconded by Terry Nejfelt.
