COMPUTER COMMITTEE

MEETING MINUTES

May 17, 2005 – 7:00 pm

Selectmen’s Conference Room

 

 

1.         Call to Order

            Charles Colby called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm.

 

2.            Members Present

            Mike Duffy, Michelle Lippe, Charlie Colby, and Jay Doyon.  Also present was Ernie Allsup.

 

3.            Approval of Minutes

            The minutes of 4/19/05 were reviewed.  Charlie Colby noted the “Next Meeting” section should have read “meeting” and not “special meeting”, and that May 17th was a Tuesday, not a Thursday. Michelle Lippe made a motion to approve the minutes as revised; motion was seconded by Mike Duffy.  All in favor.

 

4.         Old Business

·         Ernie Allsup was successful in having administrator rights returned to the town for its official domain: town.somers.ct.us

·         “On the Fly Computer Guy” began its network analysis last Monday; the committee is expecting a report on its findings within the week

·         Quality Data will be swapping servers next week; July/August is the tentative date for converting the tax collection software


 

5.         New Business          

·         Charlie Colby made a motion to remove James Gamble from the committee due to absenteeism; motion was seconded by Mike Duffy.  All in favor.

·         FY04-05 committee budget has less than $900 remaining and is expected to be fully depleted by fiscal year-end.

 

6.         Next Meeting

            The next meeting is a special meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at 7:00 pm in the Selectmen’s Conference Room.  This is to discuss the “On the Fly…” network analysis and will be canceled if feedback is not received beforehand.

           

7.            Adjournment

            The meeting adjourned by mutual consent at 8:27 pm.
