Call to Order

Co-Chairman Robert Loubier called the meeting to order at 7:36 p.m. in the Assessor’s Office, 600 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut. Also present were David Olsen, Michael Boyer, and Pat Juda, Assessor.

Approval of Minutes

Motion to approve minutes of Regular Meeting of May 3, 2005, and June 7, 2005 and minutes of the special Meeting of July 11, 2005. M/M/C

Correspondence

Memo from Connie Carenzo, Administrative Assistant, scheduling a meeting at the request of Len VanWingerden, owner of Grower Direct, to review assessments.

Assessor’s Office Report

Pat reported Claim for Elderly Renters filed 7/25/2005; June sales ratio forms filed 7/15/05 and Request for Reimbursement of Revenue Loss for Additional Veterans filed July 21, 2005. M/M/C

Robert Loubier commented that his observation has been that Pat Juda is running the office in a courteous, organized and professional manner.

Bills to be Paid

Transfer $200.00 from 10-15-520.1 Printing & Supplies to 10-15-532.1 Computer Services to cover cost of Prophecy One LLC Contract. M/M/C

Old business

Revaluation

Pat reported there are still 150 photos yet to be taken by Prophecy One, and a complete set of property record cards are to be printed and delivered by the Company.

Grower Direct Farms

Motion was made to direct Pat Juda to be proactive, to arrange an inspection of the property prior to the August 17, 2005 meeting scheduled with Len VanWingerten. M/M/C.

Meetings will be held the first Thursday of every month in the Town Hall at 7:00 p.m.
