Board of Assessors
Co-Chairman Robert Loubier called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Assessor’s Office, 600 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut. Also present were Michael Boyer, and Pat Juda, Assessor.
· Pat reported Claim for Elderly Renters filed 8/31/2005.
· She reported reading all land records commencing 10/1/04 to present, and reported it would be worth while to review all deeds back to August 2003.
· Quality Data plans to update Administrative System in the next few weeks.
· Gloria Reis has all building permits in order ready for field review.
· Currently updating personal property file in preparation of mailing declarations end of September.
· Letters were mailed to all new owners who purchased PA 490 land subsequent to October 1, 2004, giving them an opportunity to file for 2005.
· Notified all taxpayers who previously expressed an interest in appealing their motor vehicle assessments of the upcoming meetings of the BAA.
· Two freeze accounts, previously denied by the State, have been reinstated and the town will receive reimbursement for the 2002 and 2003 Grand Lists.
M/M/C to accept Assessor’s report.

M/M/C to pay the bills.
Pat Juda reported a complete set of property record cards were printed by Prophecy One, however, there are still some accounts without photos.
The Board concurred with the changes made to the assessment of 164 Hamden Road as a result of the inspection made by Pat Juda and Doug Kidd, of Prophecy One. The corrected assessment was calculated to be $2,087,460. M/M/C to accept the new assessment.
