REGULAR MEETING

MINUTES

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2005

1. CALL TO ORDER

Co-Chairman David Olsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Assessor’s Office, 600 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut. Also present were Michael Boyer and Pat Juda, Assessor.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF AUGUST 2, 2005, SPECIAL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 8, 2005, AND SPECIAL MEETING OF OCTOBER 6, 2005

Motion to approve the minutes of the Regular meeting of August 2, 2005 and to defer approval of the September 8 and October 6 meetings until the next meeting when two members who were present at those meetings will be available to vote. M/M/C

3. ASSESSOR’S OFFICE REPORT

Quality Data has made the successful conversion to the new GUI system.

Pat Juda is currently working on field inspections for new construction with approximately 50 yet to complete.

Gloria Reis is working on processing personal property declarations in the new computer system.

We are also working on the 2004 Supplemental Motor Vehicle Grand List. 125 letters were mailed to taxpayers requesting additional information on their vehicles in order to place a fair and accurate assessment on their motor vehicle bills.

September Sales Ratio forms were filed with the State 10/11/05.

4. BILLS TO BE PAID

Motion was made to approve payment of the following bills:

• DeRensy Document Solutions, Inc. - copier contract $ 427.00
• CAAO for Assessor Handbook $ 60.00
• Adkins Printers for Veteran’s Cards $ 11.50

5. DISCUSS 2004 REVALUATION

Pat reported Prophecy One currently has an employee in Somers photographing those properties that should have been photographed pursuant to the revaluation contract.
