Meeting Minutes for January 18, 2006

Meeting called to order at 7:30 by Chairman Len Slaga

In attendance were Len Slaga, Tony Pellegrino, Barbara Henderson, Mafalda Carra and Lois Matczak. Absent was Gil Rivard.

Minutes of meeting in December were approved.

Barbara Henderson attended the meeting to indicate she now had the time to participate with the Cemetery Committee. We welcome her back.

Land acquisition status discussions were about the adjacent cemetery land & Selectman Presentation Jan 23^rd:

1) Len Slaga walked the cemetery land with Town Planner Patrice Carson & Town Sanitarian Steven Jacobs. Both viewed the land as “can’t be more perfect for building on”

2) Reviewed & discussed the maps & deeds

3) Will request 13 acres of this land at the January 23, 2006 Selectman’s Meeting.

4) Tony Pellegrino will follow up with Mike Santoro to use existing Housing Authority assets for a feasibility study.

All rents are paid through January 2006. All unit are filled.

An audit of Woodcrest was conducted & sent to DECD & CHFA. The audit was approved.

A study is being conducted on the increased electric rates on existing tenants since heating is by electricity. The review results will be presented in July 2006.
