BUSINESS
a.
Wetlands Application #530, New House in Upland Review Area & Driveway
Crossing Wetlands, 120 Florida Road, Ferro
Stacy
and Greg Ferro presented plans for their new Florida Road home. The plans addressed issues discussed at
the January meeting and Mr. Askew noted grading at the front of the house,
approximately 20 feet from the edge of the wetlands. The plan included the clearing limits
for the project and driveway crossing of wetland and
stream.
A
letter has been received from Soil Scientist Rick Zulick, who concluded that the
wetland finger closest to the proposed construction results from a prior
application. Mr. Askew agrees with
this finding. He asked that the
wetlands be permanently delineated with posts at 50 to 75 foot intervals and/or
the major points. In addition he
asked to be notified prior to work being done in the stream area. Mr. Askew noted that he had no other
issues with the application.
A
motion was made by Karl Walton, seconded by Lise Wood and unanimously voted to
approve Wetlands Application #530, with the conditions that there be a
pre-construction meeting with Mr. Askew, that the stream crossing work be done
under low-flow conditions, and that the wetlands be permanently marked with
posts at 50 to 75 foot intervals and/or at all major
points.
