I. CALL TO ORDER: At 7:22 PM by Tom Chilicki
MEMBERS PRESENT: Tom Chilicki, Ed Palomba, Alan Walker, JJ

lI. MINUTES OF LAST
MEETING: To be reviewed at next
regular scheduled meeting.
lll. AUDIENCE: Spring
Sports Associations: The commission
reviewed the proposed spring schedule as presented by the Somers Lacrosse
Association. After discussion, the commission asked SLA to rework the schedule
with the correct amount of teams. The Somers Soccer Association has requested
their fields based on anticipated registrations. Little League Baseball
requested use of the park for their opening day ceremonies, and updated the
commission on the installation of new scoreboards.
Field Maintenance
Seminar – Mike Provencher: Mike Provencher presented his seminar on field
maintenance to the associations present. Mike will advise Jen Charette when the
fields are ready for spring usage.
lV. BILLS/PURCHASES: John Bartolf motioned with second from JJ Wassmuth to
allow Jen Charette to request a transfer of funds from the custodian account to
purchase video equipment. Jen will update the commission on purchase amounts.
The commission approved the motion 7-0.
V. REPORTS:
A. Park: No update.
B. Budgets: Reviewed with Jen Charette (including self-support).
Vl. OLD BUSINESS:
A. Winter
Programs: The winter programs have
been completed.
B. CIP: Tom Chilicki will obtain an update from the BOF. Tom
Chilicki reviewed Jen Charette’s cost estimates obtained for fixing the
backstops at the park, skinning infields, and installing warning tracks.
VII. NEW BUSINESS:
A. Budget 2006-07: No update.
B. Summer Camp Director: The new camp committee will be JJ Wassmuth, Chris
Meunier, and John Bartolf. Jen Charette will schedule a committee meeting to
interview perspective camp directors.
VIII. COORDINATOR'S
REPORT: Reviewed with Jen Charette.
IX. OTHER: The commission discussed a recreational survey for
possible online submission and preliminary work for a new STEAP grant.
X. CORRESPONDENCE: 2/28/06 letter to Jen Charette from Rev. David
Chaquette regarding donation of non-perishable food items.
XI. ADJOURNMENT: The commission adjourned at 9:40 PM.
