Meeting Minutes for March 15, 2006

Meeting called to order at 7:30 by Chairman Len Slaga

In attendance were Len Slaga, Tony Pellegrino, Gil Rivard, Mafalda Carra and Lois Matczak. Absent was Barbara Henderson.

Minutes of meeting in January were approved. No meeting in February.

Public Hearing on March 8, 2006 for input on Town of Somers 13 adjacent acres of land. Present were Len Slaga, Tony Pellegrino, Gil Rivard, Mafalda Carra and Lois Matczak. Absent was Barbara Henderson. Feedback from audience was positive. When polled, all hands in favor of moving forward except for Cemetery Committee.

Motion made & approved to request Selectman to allocate 13 adjoining acres of this land at the March 20, 2006 Selectman’s Meeting. This is required in order to get CHFA funding for the Pre-Development Study.

Motion made & approved to appoint Gil Rivard as Vice Chairman.

Motion made & approved to appoint Lois Matczak as Secretary.

All rents are paid through March 2006. All unit are filled.

Conducted 51 out of 54 Yearly Rent Evaluations with tenants.

CD Investments at Bank of America ( $75,000 at 1.8% ) have matured on March 10th. Reinvested $50,000 at Bank of America at 4.45% and $25,000 at STIF at 4.8 %.
