REGULAR MEETING

MINUTES
Co-chairman David Olsen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Assessor’s Office, 600 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut. Also present were Robert Loubier, Co-Chairman and Pat Juda, Assessor.
Dave made a motion to approve the minutes of the February 2, 2006 regular meeting and the February 27, 2006 special meeting. This motion was seconded by Bob and unanimously approved.
No correspondence.
· Reported to OPM on March 10th, per their request, for the separation of MV list. $1,274,072 tax attributable to individuals and $139,789 attributable to business value.
· March 7, 2006 mailed M65 to OPM – Report on Newly acquired Manufacturing Equipment & Commercial Vehicles for grant reimbursement.
· March 29, 2006 mailed M-13 - 2005 Grand List totals after Board of Assessment Appeals.
· Board of Assessment Appeals reduced the 2005 Grand List Assessments by $424,305. At the current mill rate of $20.25, this is a tax reduction of $8,794.68.
· March M-45’s, sales ratio reports were mailed April 6. March sales ratio was .59.
· The Board of Selectmen is considering establishing a charter vision commission which possibly could include the elimination of the Board of Assessors.
M/M/C to accept the Assessor’s report.
