CHARTER REVISION COMMITTEE

TOWN HALL

APRIL 26, 2006

7:00 PM

Present:  Committee members Jordan Chatis, Bill Kirkpatrick, Alyson Vecchiarelli, and Janet Starr, First Selectman David Pinney, Selectman Ernie Allsup, Town Clerk Ann Logan, Town Attorney Carl Landolina.  Absent: Brad Pellissier.

 

Mr. Pinney reviewed the charge and distributed timelines.

 

Alyson Vecchiarelli was made temporary chair to oversee the election officers. 

A motion was made seconded and passed unanimously to add “election of Officers” to the agenda.

 

ELECTION OF OFFICERS

A motion was made seconded and passed unanimously designating Alyson Vecchiarelli as chair of the Charter Revision Committee.

A motion was made seconded and passed unanimously designating Bill Kirkpatrick as Secretary of the Charter Revision Committee.

A motion was made seconded and passed unanimously designating Jordan Chatis as Vice Chair of the Charter Revision Committee.

A motion was made, seconded and passed unanimously to use the following schedule:

Mr. Landolina suggested that we consider section 7.7 for modification.

 

Mr. Allsup commented on the purpose and why it has been formed at this time.  the list of items on the charge was culled from many ideas considered by the selectmen.

 

Committee Chair Vecchiarelli suggested that we review the charge and charter for next time and bring any additional sections for consideration at the next meeting.
