REGULAR MEETING

MINUTES
Co-Chairman David Olsen called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. in the Assessor’s office, 600 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut. Also present were Robert Loubier, Co-Chairman and Pat Juda, Assessor.
Bob made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 6, 2006 meeting. This motion was seconded by Dave and unanimously approved.
No correspondence.
· April Sales Ratio Forms were mailed to the State of Connecticut on May 1st. April’s ratio is .57.
· Gloria Reis was operated on April 17. She says recovery is slow.
· Ellen Hendrick, who works part time for the Tax Collector, has been working a few hours weekly in the Assessor’s office to cover for occasional meetings, inspection appointments, etc.
· Property transfers are current.
· All changes due to maps filed with Town Clerk are complete.
M/M/C to accept the Assessor’s report.
The following were approved for payment:
· CAAO – Motor Vehicle Pricing Package $295.00
· Office Max – Supplies $ 26.55
· Office Max – Supplies $ 74.52
· UCONN – Assessor Re-certification Credits $335.00
The special appropriation of $43,352 necessary for the computer upgrade was not approved pending further explanation from David Pinney.
M/M/C to pay CAAO, Office Max and UCONN.
The Board discussed the charter revision commission’s concept of eliminating the Board of Assessors.
No new business.
No audience participation.
