LIBRARY EXPANSION STUDY COMMITTEE

 

 

August 9, 2006

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 5:05 PM

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ed Burns, Bob Socha, Jim Conlin, Mike Gruber, Tim Welch and Irma Claman. Shirley Warner was absent.

Also present were Francine Aloisa, Ken Best and Darlene Whitmore of Best Joslin.

 

Bob Socha moved that the minutes of June 28, July 5, July 10, July 11, July 19, July 26 and August 3, 2006 be accepted. Seconded by Mike Gruber and approved unanimously.

Bob Socha moved that the minutes of July 17, 2006 be approved, as amended. Seconded by Mike Gruber and approved unanimously.

 

It was reported that a letter had been received from the firm of Callaway & Wyeth thanking the committee for meeting with them in connection with the library expansion.

 

Bob Socha presented the time line to be included with the application for the state grant. He reported on his meeting with Ed Sullivan.

 

Ken Best presented the revised plans for the library expansion. Discussion followed.

 

The next meeting will be on August 16, 2006.

 

The meeting adjourned at 6:45 PM.
