TOWN OF SOMERS

LIBRARY EXPANSION STUDY COMMITTEE

 

August 23, 2006

 

The meeting was called to order at 5 PM.

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ed Burns, Tim Welch, Shirley Warner, Jim Conlin, Mike Gruber and Irma Claman. Bob Socha was absent. Also present were Francine Aloisa, Barbara Joslin and Darlene Whitmore of Best Joslin.

 

Tim Welch moved to accept the minutes of August 9, 2006. Seconded by Mike Gruber and approved unanimously.

Shirley Warner moved to accept the minutes of August 16, 2006. Seconded by Mike Gruber and approved unanimously.

 

Tim Welch presented a draft of a letter to be mailed to town residents informing them of the library expansion project and the activities of this committee. The letter will be sent out in advance of the referendum.

 

Discussion was had with Barbara Joslin of the library expansion plans.

 

The meeting adjourned at 6:10 PM.
