CALL TO ORDER
Chairman
Karl Walton called the special meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Members Brad Pellissier, Karl Walton,
and Alternate Members Greg Genlot (seated for Cliff Bordeaux) and Georgeanne
Kuzman (seated for Michelle Hayward) were present and constituted a
quorum.
II.
NEW BUSINESS
a.
Special Use Permit Application For Sale & Service of Alcoholic
Beverages, 56 Egypt Road, Union Agricultural Society,
Inc.
There was discussion
concerning a referral from the Zoning Commission regarding the issuance of a
Special Use Permit allowing for the sale of alcohol on property owned by the
Union Agricultural Society, Inc. at 56 Egypt Road, also known as the
Fairgrounds.
A motion was made by Greg
Genlot, seconded by Georgeanne Kuzman, and unanimously voted to recommend to the
Zoning Commission approval of the Union Agricultural Society, Inc.’s Special Use
Permit application for sale and service of alcoholic beverages at 56 Egypt Road
given the 30 years of history unless the Town Attorney finds that there exists a
specific violation of Town regulations or ordinance.
A
motion was made by Brad Pellissier, seconded by Georgeanne Kuzman, and
unanimously voted to adjourn the August 30, 2006 Planning Commission meeting at
7:16 p.m.
