REGULAR MEETING

MINUTES
Co-Chairman Robert Loubier called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Assessor’s office, 600 Main Street, Somers, Connecticut. Also present were Co-Chairman, David Olsen, Member, Mike Boyer, and Assessor, Pat Juda.
Dave Olsen made a motion to approve the minutes of the August 3, 2006 regular meeting. This motion was seconded by Mike Boyer and unanimously approved.
No correspondence.
· The Board of Assessment Appeals met on September 21 to interview taxpayers appealing their motor vehicle assessments. Three taxpayers appealed resulting in a total reduction of 8,990 in assessments, $188.88 in tax dollars.
· August sales ratio forms were filed with the State on September 15. The median ratio was 57%.
· September sales ratio forms were filed with the State on October 5. The median ratio was 57%.
· Final request from State of Connecticut for rent rebate was mailed Sept. 28.
· Reductions to Owner’s Reimbursement were mailed September 19, 2006.
· Personal property declarations were mailed September 28, 2006.
· Gloria entered census tract numbers to every real estate account.
· Currently, I am reviewing all outstanding building permits in the field.
Dave made a motion to accept the Assessor’s report, one of progress, and Mike seconded. This motion was unanimously approved.
The following bills were approved for payment:
· NADA Appraisal Guide - $15.00
· CAAO Handbook Updates - $15.00
· CAAO Annual Fall Assessors’ Meeting - $35.00
· Adkins Printers Personal Property Declarations - $190.70
· W. B Mason for Printer Cartridge - $73.00
