Minutes – Thursday, November 2, 2006

7:00 p.m.

Town Hall Conference Room

 

1.  Call to Order:

 

            Chairman David Reed called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m.

 

2.       Members Present:  David Reed, Karl Walton, Bob Lapadula, Barry Moynihan, Ron Elliott, Pat Kennedy, and Ann Levesque

                 

                  Members Absent:    Jeff Foss

                 

                   Guest: Patrice Carson, Town Planner

 

3.       Change in the minutes of Oct. 19, 2006:

 

Regards the Geographical area in this study - delete what is in parenthesis; add “and including all the businesses on Hall Hill Road.” 

 

As a point of clarification, the main focus of the study will be the commercial area between Shaker Road and Maple Street to the intersection of Hall Hill Road and School Street.

 

            4.  New Business

 

a.  Jeff Foss will no longer be sitting on this commission because the town clerk indicated that Mr. Foss was not eligible to serve in the commission as described in the Town Charter in section 5-1(b).

 

b.  Reviewed the draft of a Legal Notice for Request for Qualifications RFQ); changes made to the Legal Notice and accepted by the committee.  Town Planner will post the Legal Notice on our behalf, will list it on the server and will send it to any other company of interest.

 

c.  The Nov. 16 meeting date is cancelled.  The Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 meeting date is reassigned to Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006 at 7:15 p.m. at Town Hall.  At this meeting, the RFQs will be considered and we will develop an initial list of conceptual projects.

 

5.       Adjournment:

 

The meeting was adjourned by mutual consent at 8 p.m.
