LIBRARY EXPANSION STUDY COMMITTEE

 

 

December 13, 2006

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 5 PM.

 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Bob Socha, Jim Conlin, Mike Gruber, Ed Burns, Shirley Warner, Tim Welch and Irma Claman.

Francine Aloisa was also present.

 

Tim Welch moved to approve the minutes of November 29, 2006.

Seconded by Mike Gruber and approved unanimously.

 

Irma Claman moved to authorize payment to Shirley Warner of an additional $393.53. Due to a misunderstanding of the postal regulations there was a shortfall of $393.53 for the mailing to town residents on December 12, 2006. Seconded by Tim Welch and approved unanimously.

 

Bob Socha moved to approve payment of an additional $31.00 fro printing costs of the second mailing. Seconded by Shirley Warner and approved unanimously. The sum of $310.00 was approved at the November 29^th meeting.

 

LESC will meet with the Board of Finance on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 7 PM.

 

Bob Socha prepared a comparison of cost estimates for library expansion from 2001 to the present time. Discussion followed. Ed Burns moved to have a special meeting on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at 5 PM. Seconded by Tim Welch and approved unanimously.

 

The meeting adjourned at 6:25 PM.
