WPCA Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, January 2, 2007

7:30 p.m.

Town Hall Conference Room

I. CALL TO ORDER:

Chairman Jim Botellio called the meeting to order at 7:38 p.m. Members present were: Jim Botellio, Jim Faust, Steve Getman and Charles Colby. Also present was Town Sanitarian, Steve Jacobs.

II. Approval of Minutes: December 5, 2006

Charles Colby made a motion to approve the December 5, 2006 minutes, as written. This motion was seconded by Steve Getman and unanimously approved.

III. Somersville WPCF – Expansion Update:

DEP has given verbal approval of the final design. Mike Mocko will put bid packets together.

IV. Goodwin Drive – Sewer Main Extension:

The “Invitation to Bid” was published in the Journal Inquirer on January 2, 2007. The bid opening will be February 6, 2007 at 4:00 p.m.

V. Sewer/Water Billing – Collection Update:

There are 23 delinquent accounts in the Somersville sewer and 8 delinquent accounts in Maple Ridge. All delinquent properties have been liened.

VI. Correspondence/Audience Participation:

A letter was received from Hazardville Water Company approving the Somers Village water mains.

Received a Superior Court notice regarding the Somersville Mill foreclosure notice.

VII. Bills:

EML $561.00

A motion was made by Charles Colby; seconded by Jim Faust and unanimously approved to pay the bill.

The meeting adjourned by mutual consent at 8:00 p.m.
