LIBRARY EXPANSION STUDY COMMITTEE

January 3, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 5:06 PM.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Conlin, Mike Gruber, Bob Socha, Tim Welch, Shirley Warner, Ed Burns and Irma Claman.

Francine Aloisa was also present.

There was a special meeting of the board of selectmen held on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 9 AM attended by Francine

Aloisa, Shirley Warner and Ed Burns, at which the forthcoming referendum was discussed. The next meeting of the board of selectmen will be held on January 11th, at which time they will set the date for the public hearing and the referendum date of January 30, 2007.

Discussion was had about the latest edition of "Bookmark" to be mailed to the townspeople.

Tim Welch moved that LESC ask Ken Best for a recommendation

for an energy consultant to study the cost benefit of geothermal heat in the proposed library expansion. Seconded by Shirley Warner and approved unanimously.

The meeting adjourned at 6:20 PM.
