TOWN OF SOMERS

LIBRARY EXPANSION STUDY COMMITTEE

January 12, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 4 PM.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Ed Burns, Shirley Warner, Jim Conlin, Bob Socha and Irma Claman.

Francine Aloisa and David Pinney were also present.

Irma Claman moved to approve the payment of $341.00 for the printing of "Bookmark" and the sum of $549.53 for postage. Seconded by Bob Socha and approved unanimously.

Shirley Warner moved to approve the adoption of the board of selectmen's resolution dated January II, 2007 approving the sum, of $4,692,000.00 for costs related to the town library expansion project and the bonding of $3,900,000.00 and such other sources of funds available therefore in an amount estimated to be $700,000.00 to finance the project as approved by the board of selectmen. Seconded by Bob Socha.

Ir~p Claman moved to amend the $700,000.00 figure to $792,000. Jim Conlin seconded. The vote on the amendment was unanimous.

The vote on the amended motion was taken and was unanimous.

The meeting adjourned at 4:45 PM.
