TOWN OF SOMERS LIBRARY BUILDING COMMITTEE

March 14, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 5:04 PM.

MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Conlin, Mike Gruber, Shirley Warner, Phil Rosenthal, Tim Welc~, Bob Socha and Irma Claman. Andrew Phillips was absent.

Also present were Francine Aloisa and David Pinney.

The Library Building Committee is to take the appropriation approved by the town and execute a plan of renovation and expansion of the Somers Public Library.

The committee will meet every other Wednesday at 5 PM starting on March 21, 2007, with special meet~ngs as appropriate. A schedule of meetings will be filed with the Town Clerk.

Shirley Warner nominated Tim Welch as chairman, seconded by Irma Claman and approved unanimously.

Jim Conlin nominated Irma Claman as secretary, seconded by Shirley Warner and approved unanimously.

Irma Claman nominated Shirley Warner as vice-chairman, seconded by Jim Conlin and approved unanimously.

The next step to be taken by the LBC is to advertise for an architect to prepare construction drawings. This will be discussed further at the next meeting.

The meeting adjourned at 6:20 PM.
