MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY
July 19, 2007
Members
Present: Mrs. Van Tassel,
Father Bruno, Mr. Lawlor, Fire Chief Bill Meier
The
meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
The
members reviewed a “model” job description for the Fire Marshal
position which was
provided by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
The
Commission voted to continue the discussion at the Sept. meeting
but felt
that it was important that the fire marshal description include:
o
The Fire Marshal reports directly to the Fire
Commission
o
The appointment will be for a term of no more than 2
years.
o
The Fire Marshal can be reappointed by the Fire
Commission
o
The Fire Marshal’s office will be at the Fire House
o
The Fire Marshal will furnish written reports to the
commission
that details
hours worked and the status of inspections.
o
The Fire Marshal shall be available to attend FC
meetings if
requested
o
The Fire Marshal shall have the use of the municipal
car.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
