1. Call to Order:

Torres called the meeting to order at 7:37 P.M.

by Chairman Torres at 7:38 P.M.
111. Public Hearing

Lisa Langlois
Acting Secretary,
Commissioner Minch read the legal notice.
Todd and Lisa Langlois of 10 Sunset Drive,
Lisa Langlois had submitted a
drawing of the property in question along with a description of the septic
system and dry well locations provided by Avery Septic. She noted that the land in the back yard had
some sloping issues and that the proposed location of the pool was the only
location where they could place the pool.
Mrs. Langlois also submitted
prior to the Commission meeting a letter from their abutters Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Tripp at 16 Sunset Drive. They have
no objections to the proposed pool location.
After all discussion, motion made by Commissioner
Flebotte; seconded by Commissioner Young and unanimously approved to cease
discussion and adjourn the public hearing.

V. Minutes Approval – July 10,
2007
Motion made by Commissioner Minch, seconded by
Commissioner Young to approve the ZBA July 10, 2007 minutes as presented. Motion approved unanimously.
VI. Public Hearing
Discussion

Todd & Lisa Langlois
After some discussion,
motion made by Commissioner Flebotte; seconded by Commissioner Young and
unanimously voted to cease discussion and vote.
The
Commission voted unanimously to grant a variance from Somers Code 214-98 requirement
of 17 feet side yard setback in order to
allow for the location of a 21 foot above ground swimming pool on their
property at 10 Sunset Drive, Somers, CT.

X. Bills:
Motion made by Commissioner Minch; seconded by
Commissioner Flebotte to pay all ZBA bills including the Journal Inquirer in
the amount of $944. 40. Motion approved
unanimously.
XI. Adjournment:
Motion made by Commissioner Young; second by
Commissioner Flebotte to adjourn the meeting. Motion approved unanimously. The meeting stood adjourned at 7:57 P.M.
