SOMERS SCHOOL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE

October 11, 2007

Members Present: T.Cowles, J.MacFeat, J.Formeister, J.O’Brien, J.Persano

The meeting was called to order at 7:55pm by J.Persano.

Minutes of the 9/13/07 meeting were unanimously approved as presented with one change: top of page 2, “independent purchase order” instead of “Change Order#” (O’Brien, Cowles).

MBA/CO---no update from Labor Dept. regarding prevailing wage issue.

H.Pearson distributed a memo with project close out update.

J.MacFeat stated still working on HVAC before we can sign off.

Issue of covers for roof mounted HVAC units raised last month—the manufacturer does not make covers, the units are complete.

H.Pease reported there are still items Robert Lord has not sent us and B.Boutwell is holding $30,000 for them. Screens are due this week. Assisted listening in gym is working well. Speed of wrapping up punch list has been excellent.

Committee is still retaining $100,000; all documents need to be furnished, small punch list outstanding, B&G issue to be resolved.

H.Pearson stated MPN does not plan to attend any more Building Committee meetings but will follow through with project closeout via phone and e-mail.

The following bills were unanimously approved by the Committee:

Harold Pease, Inv.# 9/14/2007, MBA, $575.00

Inv.# 9/28/2007, MBA, $312.50 (O’Brien, Cowles)

Misc. vendors per B.Boutwell memo dated 10/11/07 (Cowles, O’Brien)

Committee members will be notified of next meeting date.
