I. CALL TO ORDER
Vice
Chairman Jill Conklin called the Special Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present and constituting a quorum
were Jill Conklin, Ray Hafford and Wes Smith.
Town Planner Patrice Carson was also in attendance.
A. MODIFICATION OF SPECIAL USE PERMIT
APPLICATION FOR BOY SCOUT HALL, 78 BATTLE STREET,FRIENDS OF SOMERS BOY SCOUNTS
TROOP 387 INC.
Ms. Carson
reported that the Boy Scouts had made some modifications to their approved site
plan which were beyond what she could approve as minor changes to the plans.
The Commission
reviewed the revisions to the plans which switched the area of the rear parking
lot with the septic system location, and put the handicapped parking spaces in
front of the building switching the handicapped ramp into the building. A bump out was added to the back of the
building and now everything beyond the front parking lot will be gravel instead
of pavement to conserve lot coverage, which was lowered from 24.3% to 12%. The lighting has also been taken care of per
the Town Engineer.
A
motion was made by Ray Hafford, seconded by Wes Smith, and unanimously voted to
approve the modifications to the Special Use Permit and Site Plan for the Boy
Scout Hall at 78 Battle Street.
III. ADJOURNMENT
A
motion was made by Ray Hafford, seconded by Wes Smith and unanimously voted to
adjourn the November 12, 2007 Zoning Commission Special Meeting at 7:05.
