  1. CALL TO ORDER

 

Bob Loubier, Co-Chairman called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. in the Assessor’s office, 600 Main Street, Somers, CT.  Also present were David Olsen, Co-Chairman, member Joanna Wheeler, Chief Financial Officer, Gregory Simmons and Patricia J. Juda, Assessor.

 

  1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 4, 2007.

 

Dave made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 4, 2007 meeting.  This motion was seconded by Joanna and unanimously approved.

 

  1. CORRESPONDENCE

 

There was no correspondence.

 

  1. ASSESSOR’S OFFICE REPORT

 

·        October’s sales ratio was .58.  November’s sales ratio was .57.

 

·        October and November Sales Ratio forms were mailed to the State of Connecticut on December 3, 2007.

 

·        Veteran’s report was mailed to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs on November 26, 2007.

·        The Assessor’s staff is currently working on the 2006 Supplemental Motor Vehicle Grand List, 2007 Real Estate Grand List and the 2007 Personal Property Grand List.  The 2007 Motor Vehicle Grand list is expected from the DMV next week.

 

Dave made a motion to accept the Assessor’s report as one of progress.  Joanna seconded this motion.  The motion was unanimously approved.

 

 

  1. 2009 REVALUATION

 

Pat reported that completion of the 2007 Grand List is priority.  Upon its filing, work will commence on the RFP for the 2009 Revaluation.

 

Dave made a motion to accept the revaluation report as one of progress.  Joanna seconded this motion.  The motion was unanimously approved.

 

 

  1. BILLS TO BE PAID

 

The following bills were approved for payment:

Meetings will be held at 6:00 pm in the Assessor’s Office at Town Hall on the following dates:

Dave made a motion to accept the above 2008 meeting schedule .  Joanna seconded this motion.  The motion was unanimously approved.

Bob Loubier welcomed Gregory Simmons, Somers’ new Finance Director and Joanna Wheeler, new member of the Board of Assessors.
