TOWN OF SOMERS

LIBRARY BUILDING COMMITTEE

SPECIAL MEETING

February 6, 2008

The meeting was called to order at 5:05 PM.

MEMBERS PRESENT; Tim Welch, Mike Gruber, Bob Socha, Andy Phillips, Shirley Warner, Phil Rosenthal and Irma Claman. Jim Conlin was absent.

Also present were Francine Aloisa, John Wilcox and Richard Szczypek.

Tim Welch reported that he spoke to the public works director for the town of Somers about using Kibbe-Fuller for the children’s library. The question was raised about the classroom floors in Kibbe-Fuller being able to sustain the weight of the books. At the suggestion of the public works director the town will install a beam under the floor to provide additional support.

Richard Szczypek presented the conceptual budget dated February 4, 2008 and the final estimate dated February 4, 2008 with the figure of $4,691,749 as the total project cost.

John Wilcox reviewed the schedule for the project.

The meeting adjourned at 6:50 PM.
