REGULAR MEETING

I. Call to Order: Meeting was called to order 7:51 pm

II. Audience: Fred and Barbara Petrucci.

Fred and Barbara brought to the attention of the Commission an issue regarding the usage of the tennis courts at field road. A woman was using court #1 with a ball machine and balls were going into court #2. Conrad was giving a lesson on court #3 and the net was missing from court #4. They attempted to play on court #2, but with the stray balls from courts 1 and 3 they found it dangerous and they were unable to play. The commission discussed the possibility of putting curtains between the courts to prevent nuisance balls from rolling around. Mike P and Jen C will look into the cost of 3 pairs of nets and poles to be added to the tennis courts.

III. Old Business:

Troy and JJ met with the Board of Selectmen to pitch a discussion about a new field at Field Road Park. They asked for a survey of the property. BOS wants a plan first before committing money for a survey. Bob Cafarelli and Mike Provencher need to put together a plan for the proposed field.

The commission discussed the location of the skate park. Steve Roberts needs to get together with Mike Provencher to mark the location of the leech fields.

Mike Provencher reported that the Firehouse field has not yet been reseeded. The Sokol Road field cannot be seeded until the fall.

IV. New Business:

Bob Cafarelli and Mike Provencher prepared a field assessment report. They scaled the fields on a 1-5 basis, 1 worst, 5 best. They made recommendations to bring all fields up to at least 4. All fields need to be irrigated to achieve level 4. Mike was asked to provide the report to the commission members.
