flexibility. The school’s founder and director of Healthkick
Tae Kwon Do,
Professor James Covensky, has been
practicing in Martial Arts for over 30 years and has attained the rank of 6th
degree Black Belt.
He is
assisted by his wife Carol. Carol is
only the third woman in the AUDCDA to attain the rank of 4th degree Black Belt.

Introduction to fencing
provides a student with the basic guidance needed to undertake the exciting
sport of fencing. Students learn footwork, attacks, defense and history. The
last class provides students with the forum to test their skills against their
classmates. Equipment is provided. Please call the Recreation Department with
any questions. Intermediate classes will be held on Saturday mornings from 9 –
10:30. Students must have taken the Introductory/beginner class or have had
prior fencing experience to participate in this class.

This is an excellent program for High School Baseball and
Softball players to prepare for the upcoming season. Adults can gain a wide range of health and athletic benefits as
well. This performance enchancing
program will increase your core central body strength through the use of the
stability ball, hand weights, medicine weight balls, etc.. You will learn exercises to do at home as
well as at the Health Center. See
improvement in balance and body awareness, total body strength and flexibility.

Introduction to Bird Watching

If you have an interest in wild birds and want to learn more
about our feathered friends please join our expert guide on an outing of bird
watching. They will take you to different habitats to
look and listen for birds and learn how to identify them. Binoculars are

Senior Body Sculpturing

Where: Held at Healthtrax Fitness and Wellness in Enfield

program meeting once a week to do group exercises. This class incorporates the use of light weights, exercise bands
and balls. The exercises can be done
standing or sitting in a chair. We
focus on all areas of the body. This is
a wonderful way to keep your body strong and add years to your life. The saying “Use it or lose it” applies to

STEPS PROGRAM – 10 Weeks to getting control of your life!
The premise of the program is to eventually create
permanent better lifestyle “habits” from small increments of change on a daily
basis. The concept of the 10-week
workshop is to follow four new basic healthy living steps each week, one from
each category: NUTRITION, FITNESS, HOME
ORGANIZATION, and SELF/SPIRIT.
Simple Steps founders – Lisa Lelas, Linda McClintock and
Bev Zingarella (“the Guilford Girls”) have had their program featured in Oprah
and the Today Show. It is primarily
geared to women (although men are welcome), and participants are encouraged to set
goals, de-clutter, de-stress and live healthier, through simplifying their
lives and organizing a life plan.
