Cost: $30

Learn what to do in case of burns, injuries and other accidents.

Upon completion of this course, you will receive your Red Cross Certification in Basic First Aid.

This course is taught by certified Red Cross Instructor.  Please call the Rec Office for more

information and to register for this course.

CPR

When:   Dates and times will be arranged with participants when enrollment numbers are met.

 

Where: Somers Fire Department / Somers Community Center

Cost: $35

 

This American Heart Association program will help you learn CPR and handling of choking emergencies

 that involve infants, children and adults.  Knowledge of CPR can mean the difference between life and death.

Pet First Aid

When: Date and time contingent upon number of sign ups.

Where: Somers Community Center

Cost: $3

All ages, all animals!  Would you know what to do if your pet was hit by a car, or was choking? 

This seminar will give you some basic do's and don'ts when dealing with emergencies that involve

your  pets. This seminar will be conducted by Dr. Wes Chapin of the Stafford Veterinary Center.

Doctor of Audiology, Myles Kessler, will be present to conduct a free hearing screening.

Body For Life

  Nutrition Testing at Gold's Gym

When:   Continuous, by appointment

Where: Gold’s Gym, Scitico Plaza Enfield

 

How nutritionally fit are you?  You antioxidant levels will tell you

How susceptible you are to disease, aging and cancer.  Do you know

What your antioxidant levels are?  You can have them tested at Gold’s Gym

for a small fee.  Please stop by the gym or call 763-1909 for an appointment.
