UCONN Basketball
UCONN MEN’S & WOMEN’S BASKETBALL @ VILLANOVA
When: February 28 -29th, 2004
Fee: $168/pp/double includes: Round
trip motor coach transportation, admission to the men’s afternoon game and the
women’s evening game; one night accommodations and breakfast. Contact the Recreation Office to sign up for

Boston Red Games
The
Recreation Department was able to obtain tickets for 2 games
this
season. We apologize for the high price of the trips, but these
were the
best tickets at the best prices available for group sales.
June 13th Red Sox vs LA Dodgers
$99 2:05 game
Sept 5th Red Sox vs Seattle $95 2:05pm game
Tickets are sold on a first come
first serve basis.
4 Ticket max. Somers residents have priority;
out-of-towners will be placed on a waiting list.
Cost
includes box seat ticket and luxury motor coach ride.
All trips
will depart from the Somers Community Center @ 10:30am on game day.
Please
contact the Recreation Office to reserve your seats.
No
reservations will be taken before Monday, April 12th.

Boston Duck Tours
When: June 28, 2003, Saturday
Where: Departs from the Senior Center at 8:00 AM and returns
approximately at 6:00 PM
Cost: $58 Adult, $56 Child (up
to 12 Yrs)
You will start your day with free time in Quincy Market. For
lunch today, Dick’s Last Resort is simply the most fun you can have in
Boston. With its buckets of food and
ultra-casual atmosphere, you can’t help but have a great time. You have choice of either Basic 101 Burger,
Classic Cheeseburger, Snazzy Bacon n’ Cheezeburger, veggie Burger, BBQ chicken
breast sandwich, chicken Caesar Salad or Marinated Chicken Breast. All of which are served with homemade French
fries and soda.
You’ve never toured Boston until you’ve taken a Boston Duck
Tour. The fun begins as you board your
“Duck”, an authentic renovated Word War II amphibious landing vehicle. You will arrive at the Prudential Center and

Watch from a high speed catamaran.
You’ll visit Stellwagen Bank, the east coast’s
most famous whale watching destination. Stellwagen’s heavy concentration of Humpback, Finback, and Minke whales guarantee an adventure. Each whale watch is narrated and guided by a
naturalist from the noted Whale Center of New England. Bring your own lunch so you don’t miss a
minute of this exciting cruise. There
will be time for shopping at Quincy Market
after
the Whale Watch before leaving for home.

Wax Museum & Seaport Liberty Cruise

Where: Bus leaves from Senior Center Parking Lot at 7:00 AM, returns around 6:30 PM

You’ll
stare, gawk, gape, eyeball, ogle and behave in ways that would be embarrassing
anywhere else, and no one will mine because they will be doing likewise at
Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum. You just
can’t help yourself as you get up close with nearly 200 unbelievably lifelike
wax figures. An experience so close to
reality you’ll feel like you just met your favorite celebrity in person! Everyone from John F. Kennedy to John Wayne
to Bette Midler to Mark Antoinette will be there. Afterwards you will lunch on your own at the South Street
Seaport. Next you will go on the delightful
Seaport Liberty Crusie and you’ll get a great view of the downtown skyline,
Ellis Island and a intimate look at Lady Liberty. Food stop on the way home at the Danbury Mall.

and unique tour of Haunted Connecticut.
This tour is not a stroll through houses decorated
for Halloween with

cemeteries that date back to the
1600’s, real haunted homes and lunch at a
haunted restaurant. Donna specializes in
“spirit photography” and encourages you to bring along your
camera.

Yankee Traditions
Magic Wings – Historic Deerfield – Yankee Candle
