Children's Theater Workshops
daily from August 4 through August 15
Workshop I
Is for children from kindergarten to Grade 2. They will learn beginning theater techniques from 9 to 10:30 A.M. and will perform "The Baby BeeBee Bird".
Workshop II
Is for children in grades 3 through 5. They will work on theater techniques from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. and will perform "Operation Litterbug".
Workshop III
Is for young people in grades 6 through 8. They will write their own stage play from 1 to 3:00 P.M.
The total cost is $10.00 per child for the two weeks. Classes are held at Millpond Playhouse, 55 School Street, Somersville.

About Village Players..
The Village Players of Somers is a non-professional Community Theater founded
in 1971. Its membership is open to anyone interested in the theater It is a
non-profit corporation.
No experience is necessary to join the Village Players. There are many
jobs open requiring many talents.
Membership dues are $10 per year, running
May 1 to April.
Monthly meetings are usually held on the third Friday at
Millpond Playhouse, 55 School Street in Somersville.
The Village Players typically produce
two shows a year. For the last 26 years it has put on a Fall dinner-theater
over three week-ends at Camp Aya-Po. This show has become so successful it
sells out in a few days.
In the Spring the Village Players usually produce a Readers Theater
production or a show at Somers High School, in conjunction with the Food
Service program, when a dinner is provided in the high school cafeteria
prior to the show.
Every summer a two-week Childrens' Theater Workshop is
offered.
The Players award scholarships annually and they
support and participate in community activities.
